Meet our Staff- Azra

Azra europtics

Azra

Today I would like to introduce you to one of our ABO certified opticians located at Cherry Creek, Azra. Azra hails from Slovenia and her European sense of style is evident in her edgy eyewear choices. She is almost always wearing a different frame and happy to chat about it. If you’ve ever worked with Azra before you know she isn’t afraid to help you choose a frame that looks great on you, and isn’t afraid to tell you if something you’re looking at  doesn’t. Azra really loves being an optician and this is evident in the service she offers each and every client. I just did a quick interview with her and here’s what she had to say:

Length of time you have been an optician: 9 years

With Europtics since: 2004

Favorite Eyewear Lines: Lindberg, Face a Face, Anne et Valentin, Lafont and Gold & Wood. Anything with bling-bling. Bling is this girl’s best friend.

What do you like about being an optician at Europtics? It is fun and at the same time challenging. I have a love of fashion and a love of jewelry. Working at Europtics allows me to present glasses that are really a fusion of both, fashionable jewelry for your face.

How many glasses do you have? Since starting as an optician 9 years ago I have probably had about 100 pairs. As my collection grows I donate certain glasses to Red Cross or Women’s and Children’s shelters.

Silver Lake by LA Eyeworks

Today’s frame pick is the Silverlake by LA Eyeworks. This gorgeous frame is big and bold and oh so yummy. Available in 6 colors all with a cork like pattern embellished on their surface, you can choose from brown, blue, red, green, violet or for those lovers of light colored eyewear- tan. measuring in at 51-20 it is a nice size for most ladies.

So why do we love it? First of, it’s beautiful- this is always top criteria. But we love it even more because it appears to be a bold, chunky substantial frame, yet is crafted out of titanium. What does this mean to the wearer. Comfort! Pure, lightweight, unencumbered comfort which is not an easy characteristic to come by in the world of “statement glasses”.

Today’s Frame Pick- Axess 4 by Face a Face

Face a Face Eyeglasses, Axess 4Tina at Cherry Creek gives us her frame pick for today and the frame is the Axess 4, color 263. This is one of many frames in Tina’s personal collection and to her it stands out for the following reasons:

“It’s beautiful. It has a subtle feminine arch at the brow. The bold red front with the funky red hatching along the temples presents just a little bit of fun. Like all Face a Face this frame allows you to play and be a little funky yet still transitions well in to various environments.”

It has just been announced that effective April 1, 2010 Maui Jim will be removing the ST Thin Glass Material from it’s prescription sunglass program.
